How to be sure you are sending information safely!
Here at Cornerstone Accounting, your security is of the upmost importance! Anytime your accountant needs sensitive information from you they will request the info through your client portal. After doing so they will call you to let you know this is a valid request from them, and to please respond at your earliest convenience. If your accountant is unable to reach you, they may send a follow up text to inform you there is a request awaiting your review in your portal. The only information your accountant will ever ask you to send over text is verification codes. These are sent when your accountant logs in to a site using your login information. Entering this verification code confirms they are a safe and trusted user and can then have access to the site.
